Anyway, until either Rockstar patches in joystick support and/or a simple workaround is discovered, it's basically gamepad for flying in GTA 5.
Of course it has input lag. It's 30fps on PS4 vs 60+ fps on pc. Ps4 has at least 2x the input lag. Ps4 pro still runs the game at 30fps which means the lag is still there. And if you had read my post, I said none of the other games have this input lag like in GTA 5. Games can still have no input lag running at 30fps.
Copy the URL field (highlight & press CTRL+C) in Steam, right-click the EpicGamesLauncher and choose Properies. click SET LAUNCH OPTIONS Pasts the URL you copied in step 5 and click OK. Rename the link to the name of the game. (optional) click CHOOSE ICON and browse to the actual game exe to get the right icon.
It would probably be difficult to play an action oriented character, since you have to hit custom keys on your keyboard all the time. How you want to RP is up to you though, you could RP as a civ, or just a non-combatant crim. If you want, you can go to an open RP server that has decent mechanics and see how it feels.

Anova's Origin Apr 15, 2015 @ 9:21am. My DS4 controller is working fine with Bluetooth and GTA V. Note that the controller has to be tethered to your PC and the profile loaded before you launch GTA. If you connect the controller after GTA starts, it won't recognize the new controller input. Also, check the "Hide DS4" option in DS4Window's settings.

I'm sure theres a file in the Epicgames directory that has something pertaining to a block for controller input. I wonder if there is a fix. EDIT: So turns out, it doesn't have to be THAT complicated. You just add the Rockstar Social Club AND the EpicGames launcher as a non-steam game to Steam and just use the Steam controller configuration
Including GTA V (PS4 Version) this PS5 version has some bugs. They will hopefully be addressed by R* soon. As for playing with how the controls are right now. It’s possible. R1 and L1 are programmed to L3 and R3. Gas is R1 which would be R2 and brake is L1 which should be L2 plus the handbrake is R3.
